Raymond got his educational start at Bahamas Baptist College before attending the College of The Bahamas where he later transferred credits towards a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Studies at Lambuth University. He earned a Master of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champagne.

After seven years as a respected journalist on local newspapers, Raymond listened to the advice of a friend who worked in real estate, suggesting that he pursue the profession given his innate sales ability and strong negotiating skills. Raymond took the course and earned his BREA license.

Real estate and journalism are not dissimilar, he says, both require intense investigative skills, attention to detail and deadlines and the ability to get to the crux of needs immediately.

Raymond is an active member of the Music Makers Junkanoo group, and is affiliated with a variety of other civic and cultural organizations including the Bahamas National Trust. Outside of professional interests, he travels widely, reads, writes, swims, sloop sails and has recently taken up skateboarding.
